The Changan EADO export process, step by step
Importing a car from China follows the same five steps every time. Here is what happens at each one, what you need to send us and what you receive back.
1. Inquiry & consultation
Send the model, quantity and destination by WhatsApp, email or the quote form. If you are unsure which version suits your market, tell us your budget and how the cars will be used — we recommend trims based on budget, market demand and local road conditions, not just on what is in stock.
2. Quotation & order confirmation
You receive a quotation on FOB or CIF terms. FOB (Free On Board) covers the vehicles loaded onto the vessel at the Chinese port; you arrange sea freight. CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight) adds freight and insurance to your destination port. These terms are defined by the International Chamber of Commerce in Incoterms® 2020.
When you accept, we issue a proforma invoice (PI) listing model, trim, colour, quantity, condition and price. Payment terms are confirmed on the PI.
3. Vehicle preparation & inspection
We secure the vehicles from our supply sources and coordinate inspection before loading. At each milestone you receive photos or video confirming the status of your vehicles. For used cars, the inspection record covers mileage and condition.
4. Export clearance & shipping
We prepare the export documentation and clear Chinese customs. Vehicles travel by container or Ro-Ro: containers protect the cars and allow mixed-model loads; Ro-Ro suits larger volumes. We optimise container loading to reduce shipping cost per car.
5. Delivery & after-sales support
We send the shipping documents you need for import clearance — typically the commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading, plus any certificate your market requires. After delivery, our sales team stays reachable for questions and repeat orders.

How long does it take?
In-stock vehicles can be shipped within 10 working days after payment. Custom or specific models depend on sourcing and preparation; sales confirms the timeline in writing. Sea transit time depends on your destination port and route.
